The Guide for Writing to Lacey!
Last update 08/04/05 |

| |
Welcome to the guide.
You are here because, much like lots of other fans, you want to know about
how to successfully contact Lacey. Here I will try to answer popular
concerns and questions about contacting Lacey via snail-mail (Yes, I get
e-mails asking about this a lot).
Firstly, lets discuss the addresses.
|
|
| |
Here on LaceyRealm I have 3 (more like 2.5) snail-mail addresses. The
first is to Lacey's Management Company 'Nine Yards Entertainment'.
This address is fairly consistent among other Lacey fan sites that contain
contact information so possibly your best bet for a successful working
address.

The second set of addresses I
have are to Lacey's Talent Agency. See they are both to a company
called 'Paradigm Talent Agency'. Now I don't know which address is
actually correct. I'm assuming the company moved to a different
building. I tried looking on the internet but I couldn't
figure out which was the newer address. If I had to guess I would say
it's the first one because they might have extended their talent range when
they moved to compensate for 'Literary talent'. |

Now I normally recommend to people who e-mail me to actually write to all
three addresses if they are so inclined to contact Lacey. I recommend
this because I don't know which, if any, of the addresses still work and
will ever reach Lacey. Your best chance would then be to write to all
of them.
FAQs
"Does Lacey send autographs to fans who write to her?"
In the past there were a few cases of people receiving autographed pictures
from Lacey after writing to her. I know first hand because I got one
myself about 4ish years ago. I also know that a member or two from the
FanHost message boards also were lucky enough to hear back from her with
autographed pictures at around the same. Now I know 3 success stories
from 4 years ago doesn't sound very impressive but you have to consider that
most of her fans don't post online and so I have no idea how often people
get a reply.
"What's the chances that she will ever receive my letter?"
Unfortunately that's where the problem is. There are several scenarios
why she may not be able to read your letter. Possibly it never gets to
her because the address is bad; she may be too busy working to get around to
every letter; she may even receive too many letters to ever get around to
them all. I just honestly don't know the answer to that question.
I say just write to her and be patient. In the best case scenario that
you actually get a reply it will probably be several months after you sent
your letter out. Maybe keep trying like every 4 months or so?
lol (Hopefully for her she doesn't get thousands of letters because of this
crappy advice)
"What should I write to her if I want a reply?"
That is up to you! I'll suggest that you be honest and original.
She has probably heard the average fan-gobbledygook a million times but
sometimes that's all the ammo you have. There also may be question as
to if you should actually ask for a reply. I'd say do it subtly
like "I know this might seem rude but could you maybe send me an autograph
picture? It would totally make my day".
That's all that I can think of for now. GOOD LUCK!

A Favor I Ask of
You! |
|
| |
For those who have gotten replies, to help
better the fan-contact experience I ask you fans to speak out about your
experiences contacting Lacey. If you could e-mail me or use the
comment box and:
- say which address you used or which one(s), if you know, work.
- say about how long it took.
- what did you receive.
- whatever else.
Thanks!
